Jackie Sanz is the Chief Compliance Officer of Caldwell Investment Management Ltd. (“CIM”), having joined in 2019. With more than 20 years of direct industry experience, Jackie is a passionate advocate and leader recognized for achievement in the design and implementation of effective and efficient risk-based integrated compliance frameworks and programs across entities, international jurisdictions and registrant categories.

A member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, Jackie obtained her designation with PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) working exclusively, over 8 years, in the asset management and investment fund industry. She spent 3 years in their Luxembourg office.

An innovative and critical thinker with a client-centric perspective, Jackie actively participates in strategic industry initiatives to support the integrity of Canadian capital markets and investor best-interests. She is an active member of the Practices & Standards Committee of the Portfolio Management Association of Canada; the Chairperson of the Toronto Compliance Forum conference (2018 and 2019) for The Summit for Asset Management. Jackie is a contributing author to the National Society of Compliance Professionals monthly Currents bulletin and is an active and frequent speaker at industry conferences and roundtables on managing compliance risks, client needs, financial performance and shareholder value through the development of compliance frameworks focused on high risk, high impact compliance and market risks.

Prior to joining CIM in 2019, Jackie complemented her finance, economics and accounting education by working for a large independent and globally diverse asset manager and Canadian mutual fund company.

In 2019, Jackie was recognized by The International Society Of Female Professionals.

In her spare time, Jackie passionately pursues personal interests including fundraising for her annual OneWalk to Conquer Cancer (Princess Margaret Hospital), supporting financial literacy initiatives for youth and marginalized newcomers to Canada, native Ontario perennial gardening and developing unique main course recipes and baking delectable desserts.
