Behind the Headlines: Economic Impacts of Conflict in Iran

In their latest report, Lazard Asset Management highlights that energy market disruptions from the Iran conflict could push global inflation modestly higher and weigh on growth, while weak U.S. payroll data contrast with declining job cuts suggesting unemployment may remain stable, and China’s 2026 growth target was set without the fiscal stimulus or structural reforms needed to meaningfully boost domestic demand.
