Private Equity Analyst

About the job

Caldwell is seeking a Private Equity Analyst. The Analyst will work closely with the investment management team to a) ascertain private equity investments; b) develop business c) build relationships d) provide effective management of private equity and trading activities; and e) ensure compliance with the company financials, risk, and strategic objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing input for strategic development and acquisition opportunities
  • Providing analytical and asset valuation support for private equity and trading
  • Determining appropriate valuation measures to assess stock value and ensure fulfilment of expected profit margins
  • Developing and implementing specific hedging strategies to maximize profits and minimize price volatility
  • Preparing a detailed review of the financial statements
  • Conducting in-depth research, monitoring portfolios, reporting development and monitoring business growth
  • Assuming a set of financial variables and preparing financial scenarios
  • Recommending strategies for the highest return on investment (ROI) and an apt mix of equity and debt instruments
  • Developing private equity business and relationships
  • Presenting and informing investors on a regular basis

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Business degree, MBA and/or CFA
  • Energetic and adept at handling multiple tasks
  • Excellent judgement, logic and analytical reasoning skills

Senior Inside Sales Associate

About the job:

We are looking for a Senior Associate, Inside Sales to join our Sales Team. We are seeking job candidates with experience in the investment / asset management / mutual fund industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for inside sales of Caldwell’s family of investment funds. The candidate will be a key member of the sales and marketing team, responsible for executing strategies to increase assets under management and promote Caldwell’s investment products to advisory groups, primarily within the IIROC and MFDA channels.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Associate, Inside Sales you will:

  • Conduct pro-active call and sales campaigns to promote Caldwell Investment Management products to investment advisors in IIROC other channels.
  • Source, evaluate and connect with Investment Advisors by utilizing cold call techniques.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Caldwell products and initiatives.
  • Answer existing and potential advisor/client questions and send additional information, as required.
  • Assist in the development of literature for promoting products.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Sales teams to organize campaigns and events for Investment Advisors.
  • Update call/meeting activities and maintain accurate advisor records within our Zoho Client Relationship Management system on a timely basis.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-5 years of related financial services inside sales experience
  • Undergraduate or Master degree in Finance or Commerce
  • Strong track record of academic achievement

Marketing Coordinator

About the job:

Caldwell Investment Management Ltd. is currently seeking a results-oriented Marketing Coordinator to deliver superior client and sales support to a dynamic and expanding firm in the investment fund industry. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Sales and Corporate Development and the Vice President of Marketing, and working closely with the Compliance, the Marketing Coordinator will help develop, measure and maintain the firm’s marketing strategies. The successful candidate will be a key contact for the internal sales teams, collaborating closely with individuals across all levels of the firm. The role will require an organized candidate with strong interpersonal skills and high attention to detail, as well as a helpful and flexible attitude. 

Key Responsibilities:

As a Marketing Coordinator you will:

  • Develop marketing materials and graphic designs for print and digital purposes using programs such as Adobe illustrator, Photoshop, MS Word and PowerPoint
    • Marketing materials to include monthly fund highlight sheets, commentaries and other reports, print and digital ads, banners, presentations, etc.
  • Manage online presence:
    • Maintain corporate web-sites, including uploading of new content and page modifications, as required
    • Conduct bulk electronic mailings and perform regular analytics to optimize email dissemination
    • Manage corporate blog, bulk mailing activity, social media content and corporate search engine optimization (“SEO”) initiatives
  • Manage corporate Customer Relationship Management system (Zoho), including programing modifications, as required
  • Spearhead all website updates while continuously looking for ways to improve response rates and other performance indicators
  • Act as content marketing support by proofreading, editing, formatting and distributing monthly commentaries
  • Administer and coordinate the work of third-party suppliers (print orders, web development, etc.)
  • Organize and file marketing documentation as required for regulatory purposes
  • Perform ad hoc requests including administrative tasks (scheduling meetings, preparing for seminars, etc.)

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree/diploma in Business Marketing and/or Digital Media
  • 1-2 years of experience, new graduates with requisite skills are welcome
  • Previous Financial Services experience is an asset

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Excellent with Technology; can easily learn new software
  • Familiar with and enjoys working with Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Publisher, WordPress and Zoho
  • Proven multi-tasker who can work interdepartmentally and cross functionally to complete projects (often with conflicting deadlines
