Lazard’s 2026 Levelized Cost of Energy Report

In this year’s Levelized Cost of Energy Report, Lazard highlights that renewables remain the lowest-cost option for new power generation despite rising costs across all technologies, while surging electricity demand is increasing the need for investment in a diverse, reliable energy system. The report also notes that higher development costs are improving the competitiveness of existing generation assets, although storage costs have risen due to tariffs and supply chain shifts.
