CRM Manager & Business Development Associate

About the Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to combine technical proficiency with client-facing expertise in a leading asset management firm. As a CRM Manager & Business Development Associate at Caldwell Investment Management, you won’t just manage a client relationship system, you’ll design how we engage with investment advisors (our clients), build the infrastructure that powers our marketing outreach, and then use it yourself to help drive business growth.

You will report to the Senior Vice President, Sales and Corporate Development, working in a high-performance, meritocratic environment where initiative and intellectual rigor are rewarded.

Key Responsibilities:

CRM Leadership

  • Own and customize our CRM (Zoho) to align with firm-wide processes and advisor engagement strategies.
  • Integrate third-party data sources into unified formats within the CRM.
  • Build and optimize workflows, automation rules, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Deliver actionable insights through data analytics to sharpen sales and marketing decisions.
  • Coordinate CRM integrations (email marketing, client portals, task management, etc.).
  • Execute email campaigns, manage segmentation, and track analytics.
  • Train internal users and maintain process documentation.

Business Development & Sales

  • Dedicate 1–2 days per week to proactive outreach, calling investment advisors across Canada.
  • Embrace cold calling as a strategic entry point. Identify new leads, opening doors, and setting the stage for long-term relationships.
  • Leverage CRM insights to tailor outreach and maximize advisor engagement.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Caldwell’s investment strategies to effectively position our offerings.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on targeted campaigns and outreach initiatives.
  • Record all interactions, call notes, and meeting details accurately within Zoho CRM.

Qualifications and Experience:

Requirements

  • 3–5 years experience in CRM development/management, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proven sales ability.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms (Zoho preferred), marketing automation tools, and data reporting.
  • Ability to design and maintain custom dashboards integrating multiple systems.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or WordPress.

Additional Desired Skills

  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or R for CRM data analysis and reporting.
  • Exposure to advanced tools such as Airflow, Selenium, or API/webhook integrations.
  • Familiarity with data orchestration, web scraping, or enrichment tools.

Investment Funds Inside Sales Associate

About the job

We are looking for a Investment Funds Inside Sales Associate to join our Sales Team. We are seeking job candidates with experience in the investment / mutual fund industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for inside sales of Caldwell’s family of investment funds. The candidate will be a key member of the sales and marketing team, responsible for executing strategies to increase assets under management and promote Caldwell’s investment products to advisory groups working primarily within the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) channel.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Inside Sales Associate you will:

  • Conduct pro-active call and sales campaigns to promote Caldwell Investment Management products to investment advisors, primarily within the CIRO channel.
  • Source, evaluate and connect with Investment Advisors by utilizing cold call techniques.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Caldwell products and initiatives.
  • Answer existing and potential advisor/client questions and send additional information, as required.
  • Assist in the development of literature for promoting products.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Sales teams to organize campaigns and events for Investment Advisors.
  • Update call/meeting activities and maintain accurate advisor records within our Client Relationship Management system on a timely basis.

Education and Experience:

  • 4-5 years of related financial services inside sales experience
  • Undergraduate in Finance or Commerce
  • Strong track record of academic achievement
